Doi Suthep - Chiang Mai
Wat Doi Suthep is the most famous temple in Chiang Mai and is situated on a hill about 30 minutues drive from the city center of City. You can easely reach Doi Suthep by taking a taxi from your hotel and the visit is a must if you go the Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai is the largest city in the North of Thailand. However, the atmosphere is much more relaxed than in Bangkok and you can easeliy relax there for a few days. From there you have easy connections to further interesting places in the North of the country like Chiang Rai.

Elephant Camp - Chiang Mai
If you are visiting the North of Thailand and especially Chiang Mai, you should go for a day tour in an elephant camp. Tour are organised directly from most hotels from Chiang Mai but you can also go by yourself by taking a taxi. The tour usually includes a ride in the forest (about 1 hour), elephant show (30 min).
You can also combine this tour with a bamboo rafting down the river to relax and to have a look on the wonderful nature. A bullock cart drive can also be done between the elephant terminal and a small traditional village.
